Where do the PTA funds go?

The PTA sponsors and organizes a variety of programs, events, and fundraisers that benefit our students and the entire community of Bamber Valley. The following is a list of social activities that the PTA organizes:

  • Boo Hoo/Yahoo Breakfast for Kindergarten families
  • Back to School Night / Welcome back Night
  • Book Fair (Fall & Spring)
  • Costume Bingo
  • Fall Fundraiser
  • K-1st  Movie Night
  • 2nd & 3rd grade Science Night
  • Book Drive / Swap
  • 4th & 5th grade Fun Night
  • Spring Fundraiser
  • School Garden
  • Teacher Appreciation dinner during conferences

PTA also provides financial support for a variety of educational opportunities for students, such as:

  • Accelerated Math Program Fund
  • Celebrating the Arts
  • Yearbook
  • Math Masters
  • 5th Grade Eagle Bluff field trip
  • YAYA Conference (4th & 5th grader reading & writing conference)
  • Student Council Appreciation
  • PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Support) Rewards
  • School Patrol Appreciation Party
  • Teacher Support – Each full time teacher is given $100 for their classroom
  • Student Enrichment – The Bamber Valley PTA provides financial support on a per student basis each year. The purpose of this support is to enrich the educational experience of all Bamber Valley students. (Approx. $17 per student) These funds have been used for field trips, community plays, traveling educational experiences determined by grade level.
  • Indoor and Outdoor recess equipment as requested or needed by the school
  • Teacher Grants as they are requested and are able to be fulfilled.
