The Staff and Students at Bamber Valley Elementary School believe in the Power of Reading!
All Bamber Valley students are invited to visit their media center often, check out books and read!
Check out
-The check-out period is about two weeks for students.
-Students may renew books at any time provided there are no holds on the title.
-Students do not have to keep their books for the entire loan period.
-Library books can be returned to the library tub in the classroom or the book-return drop in the media center.
Renewals
-Books can be exchanged and returned at any time that the media center is open for business.
-Unlimited renewals are allowed unless there are requests for a popular title.
How Many Books Can I Check Out?
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades, 2-3 books
3rd Grade, 3-4 books
4th Grade, 4-5 books
5th Grade, 5-6 books
Overdue Books and Lost Materials
All Bamber Valley students have both the right to access our great
collection AND the responsibility to return library materials on time
and in good shape.
Returning Library Books
-Please return your library books on time.
-Overdue notices are provided for all students on a monthly basis.
-There are no fines for overdue books
-Students will be charged the cost of the book if it is damaged beyond repair or lost.
WAIVER OF FEES:
Library staff has the option of waiving or reducing charges if they determine that extenuating circumstances so warrant.
Are You Moving?
Please return your library books! If you move to another school within
the Rochester Public School District, you can return your library books
to the new school and they will ship them back to us at Bamber Valley.
