Welcome to the fifth grade,
I'm looking forward to a rewarding year of learning in the "Aloha Room."  Our classroom has taken on the feel of the tropical islands of Hawaii giving us each a lesson in how to "Live Aloha."

My husband Jeff and I have six adult children and live in Eyota. We enjoy traveling especially to historical locations like Williamsburg VA, Mount Vernon, and Jamestown.  I am eager to share my knowledge of U.S. history with my students as we travel through the time of the American Revolution.

I graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelors degree in social work and criminology.  Later I attended Winona State University and received a bachelors degree in elementary education.  I also attended Augustana College while completing my masters equivalency in staff development and leadership.

Our goal as a fifth grade team is to make sure our students are ready for the transition to middle school.  We will encourage organization, motivation, accuracy and build a foundation for deeper learning.
